The tappy tappy machine

My wonderful daughter (who turns 2 in 8 days!) has been giving an old keyboard I gave her a thorough working over. The "tappy tappy" has been a source of fun and stress release for her. She bangs it with her little fists and says "daddy's puter tappy tappy"...how cute...until she noticed that the laptop also had a tappy tappy and decided it was time to move on as this one made noises if you hit it hard enough. Nothing a bit of glue and a reformat couldn't fix though.

-Complaint Start- I've been slack on the art front lately, I think I need to find some more inspiration...I just ordered some kickass art books from Amazon, so that should be interesting. I'm continuously amazed at the wide choice that you Americans have over there and the cheap prices as well. I went into an art book shop on the weekend and found a book I'd been after for some time which was double the US cover price! plus tax...
I've ordered the same thing online and saved $20 which has turned into an extra book. It's just a shame that it takes so long to get here (3 weeks) but the you can't have it all. -Complaint Stop- :)

The problem being that we are a cutting edge 3D software company. I don't think she fully understood when I said cut and paste...

I don't feel very inspired at the moment. I can't think of anything to draw. Maybe I'm just lazy...yes that's it.

A donut a day...

I hereby dedicate the rest of my days to becoming morbidly obese. Not through eating just anything though...no, this plan will be executed through the mass consumption of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (that's how they spell it). Sunday 19th December 2004. The time was around 6pm. I open the fridge and remove box and with a quivering hand remove the top. An audience of twelve delicious donuts stare back at me, their eyes wide with terror as I...hang on! donuts don't have eyes...
Oh well, I proceeded to taste each one taking a bite and savouring the delicious flavour that is KK. I ate 8 donuts in that sitting. I think my stomach gave up but my tastebuds were yelling for more.
There is a sad element to all this joyous munching. There is no KK in the state I live in, the closest being a short 2000km drive away. The sadness that engulfs me when I realise that eating more of these delicious little lard parcels is but a dream. Oh well, I'm sure my heart will thank me. Below is the proposed before and after.

Hello.

A weekend that turned out to be too short. Three days would be more appropriate. I had the wonderful opportunity to taste Krispy Kreme donuts yesterday, a whole box!
I am lost for words at how much I enjoyed them. I will post something tomorrow about this new vice in my life.

6 days to go...

6 days and I go on holidays. I hope to have my computer going by then so I can keep all my readers (Jenn) up to date with any late breaking news!
Other than that, I'm trying to think of a subject that I can draw. My brain seems to be on standby today. Nearly lunchtime, and today we have a succulent assortment of ham sandwiches...
On Sunday, my dear sister-in-law is delivering a box of Krispy Kreme donuts all the way from Sydney. I can't wait to dig my fangs into those delicious donuts. Mmmmmmmmmm
it's also my darling wife's birthday on Sunday. She's the big 30. We are all so old...

Tomorrow Caitlin is 19 months old. She is the most wonderful thing I have ever laid my eyes on.

My computer has died. An evil electricity spike has made short work of my hard drive and motherboard...
I now need to spend a fortune on a new system. crud.
Other than that, work is giving me a headache and I'm tired.
Oh well, back to it.

Monday 11:44 AM

The day seems to have slowed. Is it me or are there now 80 minutes in every hour? This is bollocks. I have so much work to do, so I decided to stop and confide in my blog. This place sucks.
My daughter can now count to three. She will be 19 months old in five days.
Time only seems to slow down during working hours. As soon as I get home everything speeds up until I walk through the doors and start all over again. Maybe I'm just going insane. Anyway, I'd better get back to it.
Damn ghost is watching the screen as I type...Rude bastard!

Monday is never fun...

And so it begins. Monday morning and typing on a keyboard in a place I wish I didn't know. I wait and hold my breath for the days events.

AWOL

What a dastardly surprise! It's been 1 month since I've updated.(Sorry Jenn)
I must be the slackest person on the face of the earth. Work has been hell to deal with. Most of the people who have been annoying me and causing me grief have been sacked! This is good news, the only problem being that they haven't been replaced thus I'm having to do three times the work. I suppose this is my excuse for not updating my blog.
This doesn't mean I haven't been reading blogs though. On the contrary, I have been keeping up to date with all that is interesting and ever changing especially rockst...I mean Jenn's blog.:)
Anyway, Hopefully things will get back to normal now. In the meantime I need to find another job because I'm sick of this one. I also want more money as I just bought an airconditioner for my daughters room. Not cheap but she is comfortable which is all that matters. Until tomorrow (Hopefully :)) have a wonderful day filled with amazing sights and sounds and maybe some little green aliens too.

In 6 days my daughter will be 18 months old. I can't believe she is turning 2 in 6 months!!!
